To give our readers something to add to their Christmas lists, we have focussed this issue on house organs. One brand new, built and designed by Paul Gee up in Lancaster; the many which have been owned by Gordon S. Frier up in Glasgow; and one historic, which may well be the oldest working organ in the country which lives in Knole House in Kent.

Description

To give our readers something to add to their Christmas lists, we have focussed this issue on house organs. One brand new, built and designed by Paul Gee up in Lancaster; the many which have been owned by Gordon S. Frier up in Glasgow; and one historic, which may well be the oldest working organ in the country which lives in Knole House in Kent.

Peter King has provided an article to whet your appetites for next year’s Festival, the renamed Congress, which is taking place in the historic city of Bath. The more the editor hears about this event, the more exciting it sounds.

We have unfortunately had to also include two full obituaries in this issue and the cover and pull-out are a tribute to Martin Goetze who also recently passed away.
