Description
It’s December so it’s Wurlitzers… that is how the saying goes, isn’t it? It’s beginning to feel that way at OR towers as for the third December in a row we are featuring these splendid theatre organs. The editor is even beginning to feel compelled to take a trip to St Louis to view in real life the spectacular cover instrument.
Slightly closer to home is the installation at Frogner, Norway, before Ann Elise Smoot writes about a new organ education scheme taking place in Kennington, south London. Schemes such as these will preclude the need for kazoos in churches. Similarly, we have included a story sent in by a local association written by a young organist – it’s not our usual style of article, but it’s well worth a read with a cup of tea.
