This issue is all about instruments rather than players. This last year has seen many major projects in the UK come to fruition but here we concentrate on two educational instruments – one at Newcastle University and the other at the Royal College of Music. Both are important in their own ways but they have been built for different purposes.

Over in the Netherlands the Orgelpark has fi nished its latest major installation – a quasi-Baroque instrument (quasi as it is mostly a traditional mechanical instrument, but one which has been future-proofed). This brings their quota up to eight in one room.

This issue is all about instruments rather than players. This last year has seen many major projects in the UK come to fruition but here we concentrate on two educational instruments – one at Newcastle University and the other at the Royal College of Music. Over in the Netherlands the Orgelpark has finished its latest major installation – a quasi-Baroque instrument (quasi as it is mostly a traditional mechanical instrument, but one which has been future-proofed). This brings their quota up to eight in one room.
